Marvel Platinum (UD 2022) signature page
Wondering whose sketchcard you pulled from Marvel Platinum? Some artists are easy to tell, other artists' scribbles are not so obvious. Hopefully the samples below will help. A couple of brief notes:
- This is the first physical set release following the demise (?) of Cardboard Connection, so I had to resort to Beckett for a checklist. Weeks after Platinum's release and all the usual sites I come across still have the wrong base cards on the checklist. That's not to say the artist list below is wrong, but the point is, who knows?
- This came out in 2024, the cards have a 2022 copyright on the back, and most sites call it a 2023 release. Note also that there are no unique numbers on the back that started in the 21-22 Annual release. Meaning this was probably supposed to come out before those two sets.
- I keep seeing there were only 100 *total* sketches inserted. I don't know how reliable that is, or where that information originated from. Then the whole "physical vs. ePack" conversation adds some confusion as well.
- I have yet to see any blanks for this set floating around out there. With so few artists, I suppose it's safe to assume they are reliable and aren't bullied into selling blanks like some of the other sets.
- There are still a handful I am missing, and they are noted below with a red block. These signature pages are a labor of love and I can't scour sites every day looking for them, so if you have a scan and can help out, please reach out to me and I can include it here.
