2020-21 Marvel Annual (UD 2021) signature page
Wondering whose sketchcard you pulled from this perennial Marvel Annual set? Some artists are easy to tell, other artists' scribbles are not so obvious. Some have an artistic flourish of sorts on the front. When found, those are below as well. A couple of brief notes:
- The checklist was originally pulled 06 April 2022, shortly after it released on ePack. I also looked at Cardboard Connection's checklist. As has happened on other sets, CC has some that are listed that ePack did not, and vice versa, so who knows if this is accurate.
- Kind of a weird set with who did what. Some did only regular sketches, a few only did Battle Booklets, and some who did only Battle Booklets only did a select few.
- Most images were pulled from ePack, with some eBay items.
- There was a "Pack Wars" for Annual in May of 2022, with some rewards being sketchcards. The cardstock appears the same as the pack-pulled cards, and it doesn't seem (yet) that there were any artists exclusive to only Pack Wars.
- Curses on you eBay sellers who do not scan the backs of the cards. You know who you are...
- There are still some I am missing, and they are noted below with a red block. These signature pages are a labor of love and I can't scour sites every day looking for them, so if you have a scan to help out, please reach out to me and I can include it here.
- I didn't notice at the time, but the backs of the cards have unique numbers on them specific to an artist (for the most part). I thought this started with Metal Universe Spider-Man, but I think this set came out before that one. I went back in and found numbers where I could. Note that the Battle Booklets do not seem to have any uniqueness amongst pairings or artists, so I didn't bother going through all those.
- I started keeping track of blanks long after this set was released. I have probably missed a lot, but:
- Perennial seller maxxattackk has sold both blank regular and AP cards, with the number on the back digitally scrawled through.
