2021 Marvel Beginnings Volume 2 Series 1 (UD 2023) artist signature page
Wondering whose sketchcard you pulled from the relaunch of Marvel Beginnings? Some artists are easy to tell, other artists' scribbles are not so obvious. Some have an artistic flourish of sorts on the front. When found, those are below as well. A couple of brief notes:
- The checklist was originally pulled 05 May 2023, using the Cardboard Connection checklist. It was updated once it hit ePack.
- The cards have a copyright of 2021 on the back, resellers are calling it a 2022 set, and it came out in 2023. Go figure.
- Images originally taken from eBay, then from ePack.
- Shame on you eBay sellers who don't scan the backs, or do not try and list who the artists are. I know who you are... Shame. On. You.
- As has been done since 2021-22 Annual, there is a code on the back of the cards. I tried to capture those where I could. It may be UD's attempts to track blanks, or it could mean nothing. Time will tell. I am listing only confirmed numbers.
- There was a Pack Wars release, and sketches were part of the rewards. From what I can tell, it uses the same card stock and same MB numbers.
- There are still some I am missing, and they are noted below with a red block. These signature pages are a labor of love and I can't scour sites every day looking for them, so if you have a scan to help out, please reach out to me and I can include it here.
- I started keeping an eye on blanks that were being sold on eBay:
- Seller maxxattackk has sold several blanks, both normal and APs; the MB number on the back is intentionally scrawled out.
- Seller carl_cards has sold blank APs with MB-97.
- Seller t8gallery has sold APs with MB-97 as well
- Seller rarecardsandmore listed a blank AP with MB-10, and an AP with BSK69.
